LASARRUS Welcomes New Team Members

LASARRUS Clinic and Research Center is excited to announce the addition of five exceptional professionals to our team as we continue our mission to bring cutting-edge wearable technology for chronic respiratory illness to market. These strategic hires are instrumental in achieving our FDA submission goal for the WearME-Pro system by Q4 of 2025 and beyond.

1. Kevin Kubit – Quality Assurance Manager

Kevin brings extensive experience in engineering, quality assurance, and operations management. Formerly the Chief Operating Officer at Creative Engineering, LLC, and with a rich background in technical sales and business development at Harbor Designs, Kevin is well-equipped to lead our quality assurance processes. He will be instrumental in testing embedded systems for our medical devices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and interacting with manufacturers for wearable system integration.

2. John Akinci – UX/UI Designer Lead

John is a seasoned IT professional with a strong background in product design and user experience. His expertise in Figma, prototyping, and user research will be invaluable as we design intuitive, patient-friendly interfaces for our COPD monitoring software. John will collaborate on app development for WearME-Pro on Android and iOS platforms, ensuring high usability and visual appeal through user-centered design.

3. Natasha Wynter – Software Intern

Natasha is pursuing a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Maryland and brings experience in product design and user research. As a Software Development Intern, she will assist in Unity software development support, UX/UI design assistance, and quality assurance support. Her contributions will enhance the software functions of the WearME system, focusing on usability and functionality.

4. Mykal Emanuels – UX/UI Intern

Mykal holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a UX/UI Design Certificate from UC Berkeley Extension. As a UX/UI Intern, Mykal will design and implement user-centric software functions for the WearME system, create responsive designs for iOS and Android applications, and maintain a consistent design language contributing to the visual branding of the WearME system.

5. Cameron Conrad – Unity Software Developer

Cameron is a versatile software developer with over a decade of experience in game development, XR technologies, and full-stack applications. His proficiency in Unity and cross-platform development will drive the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions for WearME. Cameron will collaborate with clinical research teams to integrate software with medical applications and ensure compliance with medical standards.

This expansion is made possible through our recent NIH SBIR Fast-Track grant and the successful closure of our Pre-Seed round. Together, these milestones support our growth as we aim to revolutionize COPD management through innovative remote patient monitoring solutions. We’re thrilled to have this talented team join us on our journey to improve health outcomes for patients and reduce healthcare costs globally.
